I am a trauma-informed therapist that has experience working with adult individuals dealing with a myriad of concerns and issues. I consider my approach to be collaborative, compassionate, and integrative.
My Approach & Expertise
I believe that every person has the innate ability to enact change in their lives, and that every person is worthy of living a safe, fulfilled, authentic life. With compassion, curiosity, and humour, I work collaboratively with clients to explore a variety of issues and concerns, such as: anxiety and depression; stress; chronic illness; chronic pain; trauma (early childhood, combat, intergenerational); grief and loss; gender and sexuality; self-esteem; relationship concerns; and, life transitions.
Whether you are seeking to: build safety, coping skills, and resilience; navigate difficult situations and emotions; get reconnected to the Self and others; heal; and/or find purpose and value in a world of constant change and uncertainty, I am honoured to walk with you on this journey.
Therapeutic Modalities
Using an integrative approach, I pull from a variety of therapeutic modalities in order to tailor treatment to each client's needs. The main therapeutic modalities I use are:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
- Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT)
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Narrative
- Mindfulness-based Therapy (MBCT)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
